The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared the IBPS Clerk exam. IBPS Clerk 2019: expected cut-off is provided here. There are two phases for the IBPS examination where the preliminary examination will be conducted on 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th of December, 2019. Later, the eligible candidates from the preliminary examination will have to attend the second phase of the IBPS Clerk examination.

The second phase is the mains examination which is declared to be held on the 19th of January, 2020.  IBPS ensures a fixed range of standard for its question update and the revised version has introduced a methodology of highly competent question pattern. The IBPS Clerical position is often considered as one of the many relevant posts, as it ensures complete security with allowances and perks. It is necessary to have a basic idea of the question patterns and the cut off scheme before the examinations. The rapid levels of practice sections and referring may increase the candidate’s capacity in each phase. The expected cut off for the IBPS Clerk is as follows. It is to be noted that the expected cut off range may vary with the variation of difficulty that each exam holds. Most of the case the cut off mark range suits in between the expected cut-off.

The expected cut off for IBPS Preliminary examination 2019:

  • Section-wise for the English language the expected cut off for the general category is 9.75 and for the OBC/SC/ST is 6.75
  • The expected cut off for the Reasoning Ability for the general category is 10.75 and it is 6.25 for the OBC/SC/ST
  • The expected cut off for the Quantitative Aptitude for the general category is 11.75 and for the OBC/SC/ST is 8.00

This is the average cut off range for the IBPS Clerical position for the preliminary examination. The cut off marks cannot be accurately calculated without the knowledge of the examination questions. As per the changes in the question pattern and difficulty level, the cut off may change. In accordance with this, the number of candidates and their score point also matters.

The expected cut off for the Mains examination 2019 is:

  • In the English Language the expected cut off for the general category is 4.75 and for the OBC/SC/ST category is 2.25
  • The expected cut off for Reasoning for the genera category is 5.25 and for the OBC/SC/ST category is 3.25
  • For Quantitative Aptitude, the expected cut off for the general category is 12.00 and for the OBC/SC/ST is 10.75
  • In general awareness, an expected cut off of 10.75 for the general category and 8.00 for the OBC/SC/St/PWD is foreseen.
Expected cut off for IBPS Clerk list is :
  • A cut off of 39.50 is assumed for the general category appearing for the IBPS Clerk position
  • For OBC, a cut off of 36.50 is expected
  • For SC, a cut off of 34.50 is expected as per the initial cut off ranges
  • The ST category has an expected cut off of 28.70
  • While OC category has an expected cut off of 31.90 for the clerical post
  • The VI faces an expected cut off of 32.00

The cut off the range is considered as an average scale point to analyze the examination and to expect the difficulty level for the examination. Thus it cannot be assumed as the exact point but the average point. What matters more than the analysis of cut off marks is the exact study mode with updated versions of question patterns and constant practicing.
