IBPS Clerk 2019 Syllabus
Now let us look at the ibps clerk 2019 syllabus we need to focus for preliminary examination. Before that, if you are a bank job aspirant hoping to do well this time, then you must keep in mind that you should improvise on your speed and accuracy, what I mean speed-as the ability to solve as much problems as possible in the given time and accuracy – you should good at arriving right answers.That’s very important! Right. Now coming back to prelims, exam duration is 60 minutes and maximum mark is 100. An aspirant has to score good marks in all the 3 sections -English, Numerical ability, and Reasoning ability.
|Subject||question type||No of question||Maximum marks||alloted time|
All sections have separate session time of 20 minutes for each session. Keep in mind that, you cannot visit any session on your wish in the given 60 minutes. Definitely challenging isn’t it?. In mark allocation, you need be to fast enough to solve 35 question in 20 minutes,roughly you have got 35 seconds for a question in numerical ability and reasoning sessions (for those wish to attend all questions).if not, chill out no problem ;).
All questions carry 1 mark. Prelims do have negative marking !.For every wrong answer, ¼ mark (0.25) will be deduced. So nothing to worry about skipping questions which are difficult. It is always a good practice to give 10 correct answers than attending 12 questions in which 2 questions are guess work.As I mentioned earlier, accuracy plays a vital role and it also saves your time. Regarding prelims cut-off it varies with state and number of vacancies, in the last year IBPS, the cut off for southern states (Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Andrapradesh) were close to 55+5 for tamilnadu and 72+5 (Kerala, Karnataka and Andrapradesh) and for general category.Now coming to the syllabus to be covered for both Prelims and mains you can refer the table below.
|English||Quantative Aptitude||Computer Aptitude||Reasoning|

Going by above, an aspirant can easily come to a decision about his preparation.One should ask themselves some basic questions as follows,
Am I good at these subject? If good then to what extend? Where do I stand in terms of my preparedness to the exam? What is the time available for my preparation? What are my study plans? by answering these basic questions to yourself and deciding to stand by them would certainly become a better aspirant than many others. Really,who know this time it might be your turn to reap success in the upcoming IBPS. Good luck and cheers.
