SSC GD Constable Exam 2018: Exam Pattern, Syllabus

The recruitment process consists of four steps, Online computer-based examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standards Test (PST), and finally a Medical Test. The date of the CBT will soon be announced, and it is now time to look into the exam pattern and syllabus and start preparing.

SSC GD constable exam pattern

The examination will be online and computer-based. The SSC GD Paper Pattern for written exam is as follows:

How to prepare SSC GD constable exam?

The competition in these exams are really cutthroat and only those who choose a strategic and well-framed study plan taste success in the end. Let’s look into each subject separately.

General Intelligence & Reasoning

This questions in this section are less time consuming compared to Aptitude and thus can save much of your time in the exam. Attempt it first so that you have ample time for other sections. Even though it is less time consuming, a lot of practice is required to solve the questions. Practice maximum questions of different types to have the advantage of finding similar questions in the exam.

Elementary Mathematics

Read newspapers regularly and be updated with current events of national and international importance. Reading newspapers will also help you in tackling the English language section as it will improve your reading speed and vocabulary.

English/Hindi Language

You need to have a thorough knowledge of the basics of grammar and vocabulary in both Hindi and English languages. Try to learn more and more words each day. Also, read books, articles, editorials, and stories on a daily basis to improve vocabulary in the language test.
